Default 99 civic Engine swap Help

Well i got my civic like 2 years ago from my parent. It automatic but i want some speed in it. It has a SOHC engine don't really know what type it is. The car is just a civic doesn't have anything on the back like a DX,EX. Basically I want a new engine in it with some kick. I'll also be modify it some more after i get the new engine. Like adding turbo and things of that nature. I want to know what the best swap for it, I kinda knoe any swap is better then my SOHC engine. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Maybe you should just turbo your current engine.. Or better yet read about it stuff here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=878010

First off, you need to think about converting your auto tranny to manual. Then you need to think about which motor you want. In my opinion, if you want to do a swap, I would get a car that is already manual to start off with..will make life easier. Then search for which motor you want. Wat you can do is either build your D-series motor and turbo it, or get rid of that and swap in a B-series or H-series motor(ex, B16, B18C, H22, etc.) Lots of options..only thing that will stop you is money.
