99 civic b18b battery light comes on intermittently
Im in the process of driving cross country with my 99 Civic and the alternator light comes on when coming to a stop, if the engine is revved it goes away until the rpms drop again. If you shut the car off and turn it back on it goes away and if you start driving it goes away. It only comes on sometimes and doesn't do it every time I stop. It does it regardless of electrical load. I tried cleaning all of the grounds and righting the belt, tried cleaning both battery terminals, and I still keep getting this light. The car feels severely underpowered and the lights dim and brighten back up based on throttle position. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the alternator even though it's brand new. I bought a cheapy one from rockauto so I'm unsure of it. Btw the engine is a b18b1 with a chipped p06 running an hamotorsports base map. I've tried searching and have tried all the suggestions and have gotten nowhere. Thanks in advance for any help. I don't want to be stranded anywhere far from home.
