I found some good price on a set of doors at the local honda yard, it's 99-00 Si, so ther is power windows and power door lock, I am putting this in my 97 DX, what do I need to install and make the windows and door locks work?

I did an search but nothing really came up

do a search. There have been a number of posts about installing EX doors. IIRC, EX/SI doors are the same.

Get the Helms ETM (Electrical Troubleshooting Manual). It will be your Civic Wiring Bible for projects like this. You will need to add a bunch of wires to your floor harness connectors to get the power goodies to work. If you can get the main harness out of the SI too, that would help you out big time, since you will need the Si/EX floor harness couplers to mate up to the door harnesses. Good luck. Post some pics and tech when you get it all sorted out.

Hey man, if your car is a 96-98 the doors and harness will not plug right in. If your car is a 99-00 model, then you will need the floor harness from the donor car, and the doors themself.

WHat I am doing now is my own wiring. DEI makes a window module to connect to your alarm, controling windows up and down. I am getting the module and useing the four wires that come out of the door to make my own system. This is very simple and the module comes with all the instructions. As for the power locks, just like installing an alarm, two relays and some power. The mirrors get switched power from the column, and run your wires for the speakers.

And thats it. My windows work with the switches, the door locks just fine, and you would never know that I did not just "plug and play" the setup.

you need the floor harness, no matter what year it is. i put the power junk into my 97 hatch out of a 98 ex. i had to take the carpet up to put in. do a search, i already explained this a bunch of times.

I believe you have to get the SI or EX coupe floor harness. All the wires are there for power switches....you would need also the power mirror switch. It really help if you have the helm's.
