99-00 OEM foglight help.
So I bought a set of oem foglights for pretty damn cheap, only problem is the wires are cut about 8 inches after the lamps and I dont have any of the oem wiring (I dont think atleast) in my 99 DX Civic hatch. I don't have an oem foglight switch, or the relays either.
What would you guys recommend doing? I know alot of you are going to say sell them and buy a complete kit, which I will most likely do, but until then I would like to wire these up for now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should be able to unplug the wires that are hooked up the fogs and get rid of them. Then purchase the oem foglight harness and you should be good.

It sounds a lot like your homie stole those fog lights.

no actually he burned up the plugs. and when I say burned up, he hella burnt those bitchs lol.
They were seriously melted together.
I tested the lamps on a battery though and the lights work fine.

You can just buy another harness and ghetto rig it. Buy female connectors and attach them to the cut wires on the fogs, then u can connect those into the plugs on the harness. Make sure to tape it up good with electric tape and what not so water doesn't get into it.

You're going to need the interior and exterior harnesses, but there is an engine bay harness already on every '96-'00 Civic.

going to agree, easier to buy a new set.....but if you're stubborn about it, autozone sells a kit for hooking up headlights and fog lights.....comes with switch, x number of ft. of wiring, relay, inline fuse, and wiring instructions.....probably run you around 20 dollars.

What are you guys serious? making a harness isn't the hardest thing ever, its actually super easy and takes about 20min. Get a about 6ft of 16g wire and some black loom that fits accordingly to the wire, get yourself a 4prong relay available at radio shack or at your auto parts store, get about 10 female quick disconnects, electrical tape, butt connectors,1 ring terminal, and a switch. Cut and splice the wires from the fogs and run them to one side of the car which ever side you pick, do the same for the other side fog and run the wire next to the wire you just ran. Cut and splice them together so now theres 4 to 2 wires sorta like a Y. Put a ring terminal on the ground side of the wires( find out which side is ground by looking at the bulb) ground that wire and now you should be left with 1 wire, Get the relay and wire it up like this, terminals 86 and 30 to a fused +12v (battery). Terminal 85 should will be a wire thats ran to the interior of your car. Loom all the wires and make sure all your connections are good. One side of the switch will go to ground and one to the wire you ran inside from terminal 85.

Making the harness isn't the hard part. It's acquiring the plugs the harness needs to plug in to which was obviously cut when this set of fog lights were stolen.
If they weren't stolen, a dumbass removed them. The plug which he could have unplugged was probably a foot from where he cut the wires.

wow... it comes with the SWITCH, RELAY, PLUGS, WIRING HARNESS, all the parts you need for the interior.
all you need is the fog light harness along with the plugs for the fogs (since those got cut off) and you are set.

the OP said in the first post he did not have the switch, i was providing a link as to where to buy one. a missing switch to me would not justify buying a whole new kit.
