98 Hatch w/illuminas...What springs?
I have a 98 Hatch and am looking to get either springs or an adjustable coilover like ground controls. I don't want to lower the car(maybe a little in the back) as it is daily driven. Should I even bother getting springs if I want to keep the car the same height? If not, what do you recomend? Thanks.

Yup, gets you low enough without tucking or rubbing. Had that set up on my 99 hatch and have the same springs with Tokico HP's on my 92 hatch.

Eibach prokits will drop you about .5", which is about the best that you'll get from aftermarket springs. I can't really think of any aftermarkets that lower less than that.
You could go with OEM ITR springs, although those *might* cause the front to raise just a bit with a D-series. They should put it pretty close to stock ride height though.

I think Tien makes ones that drop 0.3 in the rear but they may only work with their own "Gravel" dampeners. Would the ITR springs make much of a difference? and like all ITR stuff will it break the bank?

You can get ITR springs for <$100 shipped from hmotors, I believe.
They definitely have more aggressive spring rates than stock civic springs, although I don't know what they are off the top of my head.

So, after some more research the ITR springs will drop me about .75 in. I have some 205/45R16 how much can I drop without rubbing?

you probably won't rub with the eibach pro kit. not sure if which are stiffer: itr vs eibach prokit.
