98 gsr in 96 hatch vacuum issue
i just recently swapped a 98 gsr into my 96 hb. i'm using my stock harness and i believe i wired everything correctly. now the thing is that my IACV is broken and i need to get a new one. i started my car yesterday and the engine rev'd up all the way to redline.. i was thinking a vacuum leak but i checked all hoses and there seems to be no leak. the only thing i'm thinking is that it could be the broken iacv. could this be the problem?

Re: (drachir)
I had a very simmilar problem recently...
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1796847
turned out to be related to the carbon canister being from a GSR, and the hoses being from a civic Si (different sizes)
I dunno, maybe check that?

ohhh no its not that. i've already solved my problem before checking back on HT. but anyways, it's really weird cuz i'm not getting a CEL for the carbon canister. i'm running all 98 gsr parts in my 96 cx hb. the sensor for the carbon canister isn't hooked up and still not throwing a CEL. hahaha i'm in luck!
