98 DX b18b
i am putting a b18b into my relativly stock 98 DX hatch with d16y7
i am curious, from the experience of those who did this same swap, how big of a difference will i notice between the two.. it's going to be my daily driver.. i just have some extra money from an accident and through my research, i found this to be my best choice
thanks in advance

i put the same motor in my 97 lx 4dr, and the difference is amazing! the usable torque the b18 has, squashes the d16. you won't regret it. in my opinion, the ls tranny is the way to go. if you do any highway driving, you'll be at 4k rpm with a b16 or b18c. i know people love the shorter trannys of the other b motors, but i love the "tall" gears of the ls. just my opinion. good luck.

this is also my daily driver. so far so good. i got the swap from hmotors. highly recommend. i'm getting about 30mpg, with mixed driving, on 92 octane. i found all the info to do the swap on honda tech.

its interesting, i was wondering about this myself because on the dyno, LS motors dont dyno that much more than some d16's with bolt-ons. but i guess a 1.8 is always better than a 1.6

stock LS puts out 20 more ft lbs at the wheels, how is that not much more??? 20% inscrease over stock is pretty signifacant to me.
