Default 98 civic wont start

Ok, My civic is going in and out with the starting.
I turn the key all the way and all i hear is a click (from the passenger side) when i turn the key on and then another click when i turn it off.
Sometimes my car will start others it wont.
One time i parked in the driveway for 1 min and turned the car off and then came back one minute later and it could not start.
Ive tested the battery its good.
Im gonna take off the alternator and the starter today and test to see if they are good still. But any other ideas on what it could be?

What I would do. Check the starter signal from the ignition switch to the starter. You couls use a test lamp to do this. Check your battery connections ofcourse. I wouldnt take the alternator off cause it has nothing to do with starting the car. If your getting voltage to the starter, try to start the car at the starter, bypassing the ignition switch. If the car starts then you know its the switch thats giving you problems. If it doesnt then you know its the starter. Sounds like the ignition switch though. Search ignition switch. I think someone said that some Civics are under recall for the ignition switch. Or call your dealership to see if yours is under recall.

Ok thx for the reply im pretty sure my civic already got fixed for the recall. It was put out in 2002 as a recall and ive braught my civic in to the dealership for tons of work sinc e then so im pretty sure its not the recall. and on the note to try and start it from the starter how would i go about doing that? plus my car is starting right now i guess im gonna have to wait till its not working. Also if i bring in the starter to Advanced auto and they tested it right now even tho i can still start it will they know if its good or bad?

ok, well i got the starter out and braught it to Advance auto parts and they tested it and said it was fine it ran good. After that i decided that i couldnt do much more so i braught it to the honda dealership. They called me back and told me it was the starter. How is it that my starter tested fine at advanced auto parts but obviously failed at honda?
