98 Civic sedan rear problem?
Hi guys. I recently noticed a problem on the rear of my car. Mostly coming from the rear right. Its sounds like a bent rim but already tried other rims and still the same sound. Its like a thumping sound but i can feel it in my car.
Can it be the shoes and drums or mabye a wheel bearing. It keeps getting worse and worse. Oh and forgot to mention its a constant noise not only when im braking but driving in general. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

switch wheels around to see if its the wheel or tire. thats probably what it is, tire
crap, didnt see you already tried different wheel. lift the back of the car and spin the wheel to see if the brake drags. I know mind does, and I have cupped tires so it makes a good bit of noise.

That sounds like wheel tramp. What all did you replace on the suspension? My guess would be you didn't get that shock put in right. Without it, the wheel is just sort of bouncing at the mercy of the spring. I doubt it is your brakes man, unless the shoes welded themselves to the drum.
EDIT: Do the wheel bearing test. Lift the vehicle, grip the tire on the top and bottom, jiggle it on a horizontal axis. If the wheel has any play, it needs replaced.

I replaced the shocks with tociko blues on megan racing coilover sleeves. Im pretty sure the shock is in right. Will check the bearing test now.

Does it vary with speed?
Does it get loud only when you're turning in 1 direction going above a certain speed? Sounds like wheel bearing to me. Wait till it get's a little worse, then you'll know for sure which one it is
Here's my writeup on doing a rear wheel bearing:
