98 civic lx - cel doesn't work

98 civic lx - cel doesn't work
I have a 98 civic lx and i just realized that the cel doesn't flash when i first turn the car on. Is that normal? All other cars i know of hace the cel come on for a couple seconds when the car first starts.

Probably the bulb was removed to mask a problem, or the bulb is just plain burnt out.
There will be only 6 screws to remove, check it. 2 on the cluster guard, 4 for the cluster itself.

I was really confused by it so ill check it tomorrow as sson as there is daylight

There should also be a code that goes along with the "diagnosis". This code should be universal and you can search for it online to find a description of what it means. The code should start with P0 and have three numbers after that.

Sorry I took long to update the post. I have changed both sensors and replaced the catalytic converter and reset the ecu but the same codes still pop up. Im thinking it mightvbe a wiring issue instead

The converter was a 2 piece exhaust manifold with the converter. When i scanned the ecu after i replaced the parts it said that those parts were not registered with the ecu
