98 civic headlight bulb retaining clip??

98 civic headlight bulb retaining clip??
Anyone ever run into an issue with the metal clip that hold the bulb in place? Normally you just unclip it and the bulb slides right out....for some reason when I unclipped it the metal piece came off. I can't figure out where the clip is suppposed to be seated for the life of me.
