98 Civic EX - Tightening tension on seat belts
This car has been through 2 kids and their child seats. The rear belts were semi-permanently buckled to hold the kids seats in, which I believe has weakened the recoil. I'd like to know if it's easy to re-tension the coil, or am I looking at replacing the module?

Your seatbelt have a lifetime warranty because it is "safety equipment" Honda is required to have a lifetime warranty. I took mime in and they replaced both front belts for free, it only cost me $20 that I tipped the technician.

Just make sure that you have everything stock that has to deal with the seatbelt. Make sure you have no panels off or seats out. They will find anyway to say that they are not covered. I took a car once to them and because i had the quarter panel out to clean a spill they wouldnt cover it and put a note in the computer and i couldnt go to any dealer to have it changed. So just make sure everything that has to deal with seatbelt or anything near it is in place and is stock.
