Default 98 Civic EX Cp Driver Door Electric vs Manual

Need to replace my 98 Civic driver door. It's electric. Unrepairable exterior damage, glass and interior fine. Manual doors are ceaper, can I retrofit a used manual door with my electric parts easily?

if you want to change it to manually...you will need new/used non powered stuff:

door (since your is damage, but it doesnt matter if powered or not)
door panel
manually regulator (i hope that the correct terminology)

so i think it will be cheaper for you just to replace BACK to an EX door becuase you have most of the components already.

if you're asking if you can use a manual door (since they are cheaper) and turn it into power... yes you can... its just a matter of remembering where everything goes

Yes thats what I would like to do, all the electric parts on the existing door are fine.

Safety beam is bent via side collision, I doubt if I can straighten it. If I could I would repair that door.

Thought about pulling the door and using a jack, but one person said it would be extremely dificult.

tryin to fix that door would be some work, but it could be done. cost a lil bit of $$$ but it would be ALOT easier to just pickup a manual door and convert it over.

is the actual structure of the door damaged? If not, just replace the door skin.

The safety beam that ties the dorr hinges to the rear qtr panel is bent in about 2". The skin would be fixable, if I could straighten the beam.
