98 Civic B18B1 bad intermediate shaft bearing
Car is a 98 Honda Civic with a B18B1 swap. My drivetrain has been making a strange thumping/grinding noise lately. Just installed brand new carquest axles a few months ago, along with all four ball joints and tires. Wheel bearings seemed solid last time I checked.
Theres some play on the driverside axle on the end where it plugs into the intermediate shaft, I'm thinking the intermediate shaft bearing is probably going out. Selling the car soon so I'm trying to put as little money as possible in it. I've heard you can replace just the bearing versus the entire shaft, but I haven't had much luck finding any info on how to do it/where to even buy the bearing. Can anyone help me out?
