Problem, If my understanding is correct. Is that the 99-00 y8s have a air injection system that the 96-98s do not have. Our 97 motor does not have part #24 in this:
So we can just block of the air injection hole on the intake manifold. (the nipple behind the head and right in the middle/front of the injectors.)
Also, there is a little nipple on the back right side of the intake, we have no idea where this goes and none of our manuals say anything about it. And well searching for "little nipple" on here doesnt bring up anything conclusive...
Here it is:
Thanks, its a 99 DX with a d16y8/dx trans. Just waiting to figur out where these go before we crank it!

Number 24, im not sure what its for but you dont need it since it didnt come on 96-98 models.
That little nipple is for cruise control or could be used for a vac. source on anything else you need. You could plug it if you dont need it.

Re: (Luserkid)
Sweet, thanks, it all worked. No vacum leaks.
Except... we went to hook up the 02 sensors and well....
We can find the plug for the secondary o2, but the o2 off the y7 and the plug from the EX harness are both male...? Is there a difference between the y7 and y8 secondary o2 sensors?
We cant find the o2 plug for the main o2 sensor, the one that goes up front. What part of the harness is this plug sopposed be on?
So in other words we have evrything but the o2 sensors hooked up, we cranked it to see if it would started....and it fired right up. But its giving us the surging idle, probably because the o2 sensors arnt hooked up. So it definitly runs...
Any advice/info on the o2 sensors?
