97 jdm civic quick release steering wheel help
ok i just got this quick release jdm steering wheel
and i have a couple questions:
first is, do i have all the necessary parts to complete the installation?
i have the hub, quick release, and the steering wheel (and extra hub) + screws
and also, is this a good installation reference to go by to install it? (back from 2007)

thanks so much for everyones support!

Re: 97 jdm civic quick release steering wheel help
There is no such thing as a JDM quick release.
You have everything you need IF the hub is for a 96-00.
You should have gotten a slim hub. That steering wheel will practically sit in your chest with that regular hub.
You have an extra quick release. NOT an extra hub.

The guy just needs some help from people who have had hands on with this certain project.
I also have a 97 ek that i did the quick release on and all you need is your wheel, quick release, 96-00 hub, breaker bar, 19mm or 17mm socket (can't remember) phillips head screwdriver and I believe its a t27 torx bit socket for the airbag. discounnect the battery before attempting this and PLEASE wait at least 30 MINUTES before even touching the SRS system. Good luck man and NEVER be afraid to ask questions.

Re: 97 jdm civic quick release steering wheel help
That is pretty much it. You will notice that the tute is using a slim hub instead of the "JDM" one you have so don't get thrown when you get to that part. You should not have cheaped out and bought that no-name knockoff combo. The fitment is crap. The steering wheel will probably be shakey. I had to remove one when I bought this car. And if you buy a hub lock from NRG it will NOT fit.
