97 ex brakes on rt4wd wagon

97 ex brakes on rt4wd wagon
I'm assuming that 97 ex calipers and rotors are a direct swap. I looked in the faq and couldn't find anything specific for wagons. I think they have the same knuckle as the ex/si, which makes me think It should bolt right up.

When you say "RT4WD" do you mean the Civic 4WD wagon? You are aware that RT4WD is something that was used on several different models, right?
If you're talking about the Civic wagon (which I believe you are), why are you posting in the '92-'00 section? The 4th gen section would probably be able to help you better.

why not just go to a junkyard and get a caliper and rotor from a 96-00 ex and see if they bolt up. shouldn't cost you more than like $30. if it doesn't work than you're not out that much $$ and if it does then post up that it does and go back and buy the other caliper and rotor.
also granted the brakes are from a 97 civic but most the people in this forumn own 92-00 civics and that's what they work on. not wagons. you should post this in the ef forumn because that is what they own and work on. not trying to sound rude but you would just get better responses from people who actually have the same generation car as you. good luck with your project.

EF forum does not respond at all sorry for wasting your time. I already have all the parts and they don't fit thats why I am asking. BUt I have a feeling that someone sold me the wrong rotors and pads. Calipers are off my late coupe RIP.

Ok I was given the wrong pads at the store, which accounts for some of my problems.
With the rotor off I was able to get the caliper mounted fine, but with the rotor on the caliper does not make it all the way to the two mounting points. Is there a knuckle or adapter bracket that will allow me to use the larger diameter rotor and caliper.
notes: ROTORS are 10.3 in diameter and 21mm thick

my best educated guess is to use the knuckles from a 97 civic ex as well as the upper control arm and ball joint, but I am not sure if these parts are interchangable with ef civics.
