Hey guys I got this 97 Civic thats been giving me problems lately. One day the car would not start and just kinda sputtered like it wus trying to start. I thought it was the fuel pump so i changed that out along with the fuel filter. Well no dice apparently that wasn't it, I checked spark and it has spark has fuel to the fuel rail and checked all the fuses. The car starts if I put starting fluid in the intake, still struggles a little but starts. Once it gets going it has no problems whatsoever can even turn off and turn back on as many times as I want. It just when i leave it overnight or maybe a couple hours then it dont wanna start. Im gonna change the spark plugs out today but they are only bout 2 months old. Any ideas what could be wrong here guys? TY

Do this when the engine won't start:

(1) Turn the key to ON(II) and listen whether the fuel pump primes for 2 seconds and whether the CEL turns on and then off after 2 seconds.

(2) If (1) is fine, then remove the fuel rail with the fuel injectors and crank the engine to see whether all injectors spray fuel.

fuel pump primes fine, and injectors spray fine. Cleaned off the injectors(they were real filthy) and put new spark plugs and did an oil change while i wus at it. Right now the car starts fine as it is warm. Im now waiting a couple of hours to see if it starts then wich is what is used to do. Friend of mine said his crx was doing the same thing and it was the main relay. If it doesnt start in a couple of hours im going change that out and then go from there. anything else u guys think i should check?
