ok, well my friend has a 97 civic DX 5spd, and the motor is on its way out. i just picked up a complete z6 swap and told him id sell it to him for the price i paid. anyway i just wanna clarify a few things and ask a few questions about this swap. any and all help is appreciated. first the motor is obd1 and the car is obd2. i have a obd2-1 conversion harness left over from my h22/accord swap. will this work? i know ill have to run wires to the ecu for vtec. is there any other wires that would need to be added? can/should i use the 97 dx engine harness. will it need to be modified. i now that the eg didnt have a resistor box but im am unsure if the ek does. does it? and if so what do i do? what about motor mounts? which ones do i use? ek or eg? or combo? which axles do i use? how about exhaust fitment? isnt the cat on the manifold in the ek? is there a cat i can use underneath that will bolt right up? what dist. do i use? thats all the questions i can come up with for now. hopefully someone did this exact swap and can shed some light. again thanx in advance for all ur help.
