97 dx OBD1 swap bogging..
Im only making this a new topic as ive searched and been researching without any luck so far.
I have a 97 Dx
OBD1 B16 swap Rebuilt Motor and Transmission
stock DX Wiring harness
chipped P28 ECU
Jumper harness
2 Pin mod
Wired Vtec
No knock sensor as its an OBD1 with the chipped P28
Dizzy and Alternator are wired correctly.
Car will start and idle fine while cold, but will bogg under any throttle..
if I play with the throttle enough sometimes it will all of a sudden (come alive and run as it should, great throttle response and sounding great)
clearly this is not normal..
also car runs worse when it warms up. the timing is set and everything is stock engine wise.
As I stated i have seached through many threads and found bits and peices and somewhat similar problems but no real answers and decided to ask for help.
cheers Dave

Re: 97 dx OBD1 swap bogging..
Is this recent, or did you just do the swap and are having these problems?
Have you had it tuned yet? (This is assuming the problem is new and did not occur in the past)
Do you have codes set in the ECU
It could be your MAP or TPS sensor.
The computer is running in an open-loop during warm up, so it primarily relies on a few sensors and known safe values to run. As you get to operating temp, it will go into closed-loop and start taking all inputs from the sensors to try to run correctly.
If the MAP or TPS sensors are swapped, the values at idle may be within a range the computer can use, but when you increase throttle the input from the sensors will be completely wrong.
Hope this gives you some new ideas you haven't looked at.
