Default 97 civic problem shifting into 1st

Hey guys and gals

So I got a 97 civic coupe so this recently started happening . It's hard to put it in 1st gear like I would have to jam it in there for it to go in and sometimes same with 2nd also.. reverse will grind at times but all this will only happen when i drive it for a lil while and when car gets hot, Like when car is cold it will shift smother and its alot easier to put in 1st gear and reverse will not grind. What could this be ? My clutch slave cylinder ? 1/2 sleeve ? Btw i put in a fairly new clutch in about 2 weeks ago or less

Did you put in a clutch kit with throw out bearing etc? Or just a clutch?

Of course all the other gears will go smoothly. Did you try to bleed the pedal?

Hamza - Drain the transmission fluid and refill with genuine Honda MTF. Then go from there.

You did a job that necessitates draining at least a little bit of fluid, and you didn't put any fluid back in? Do you understand how car lubricants work?

Ummm...how is this possible given that you must remove the axles from the differential to drop the transmission? If no MTF leaked out, then your transmission might not have any MTF in it.

Hamza, there's probably no MTF in the transmission. Remove the fill plug and stick your finger in the hole.

With the position the transmission is in that pic and there is no fluid leaking out... You probably barely have any fluid in it. Or any at all.
