Default 97 Civic/Ls swap -- no click prime or spark

I have a 97 hatch put a 94 Ls in it, obd2 Ecu obd2 distributor, everything's hooked up, lights everything works, cranks and was almost starting up with starter fluid but the fuel pump isn't priming check engine isn't coming on, changed the main relay and same thing. Now we're not getting spark or fuel anyone no what this could be? We're lost been working on it for 5 days..

My buddy said all I need is ground the valve cover and ground the tranny. Is this correct?

There is another important one (ground) cause it grounds the ecu and thats the one that is on the thermostat housing.
So you need 3:valve cover, trans, thermostat housing.

Alright I have them and still nothing. This makes no sense, it was starting on starting fluid but now it has no spark or fuel, the fuel pump won't prime, I'm putting another one in today see if that helps

I feel like I should be running obd1 computer? I have an obd1 distributor, obd1 alternator, obd1 injectors, and obd2 computer. I'm gonna get a step down and obd1 Ecu so I don't have to worry about running with no crank sensor

Get the OBD1 computer with the OBD2 to OBD1 ECU jumper harness. I know my spare OBD2 LS ECU has an ignition lockout that you need to bypass to get the car to start. That could be the problem.

I had that problem in a 93 del sol. Tried many things and it turned out to be the ECU.
Borrow a ECU and see if it works.

Have you sanded and tightened the G101 ground on the thermostat housing?

What main relay terminal (terminal 5 from fuse 13 or terminal 7 from fuse 44) did you jump to make the fuel pump run?

Check the 15a ECU fuse under the dash. Your ECU may not be getting power.

i think it was 5 and 7 on the main relay idr i saw it on a thread on here i put a wire between them on the plug for the relay and boom the pump ran.

is that the little wire that comes out of the harness right next to the fuel rail to the thermostat housing?

The fuel pump wire is Yel/Grn and pins to terminal 4 of the main relay connector. There are two tests you need to do:

1) Jump terminal 5 (also Yel/Grn wire) to terminal 4 (Yel/Grn wire) with the key in ON(II).

2) Jump terminal 7 (Wht/Blk wire) to terminal 4 (Yel/Grn wire) with the key off.

The fuel pump should run for both tests.

Fuel pump primes when jumped, just put a brand new relay in today, all fuses are good, tested all the grounds with a test light and the ground from harness to thermostat wasn't grounding, took it off and sanded it now it's grounding and still no prime or spark, and yes the green plugs are plugged in

ground your main relay directly off the relay not through the harness. I had a similar problem and when I grounded the main relay directly I got fuel and spark.
