What ECU and transmission?

If you reset the ECU, do both codes return?

Is 7.5A dash fuse 15 blown?

The ECU is located behind the plastic front passenger kick panel. The ECU will have an ID label on it. Post a picture or the ECU code.

d16y7 manual is 3 wire

you need one of the following ECU's.... p2e-a01, p2e-a02, p2e-a03

p0135 is for a bad primary O2 sensor....(front one)

P1509 is for IACV malfunction...

What intake manifold is on the car...? A stock Y7 with the filter on the manifold?

What ECU do you have?

^Also correct. You need to find a 3-wire IACV.

Start by looking for a junk yard 96-00 D16Y7 engine and buy the 3-wire IACV.

Before you do anything, you need to show us the manifold...

And the IACV on a Y7 is auto/manual specific.....

Purple Denso sticker = Auto...

Blue Denso sticker = Manual...

Wiring it will require you to install a pin out in the empty slot on the ECU plug..

FFsquad has the diagrams and pinout locations...

It won't be that hard...

But first...PICS.

I believe that the auto and manual IACVs for the D16Y7 are the same.

no.

I'm led to believe from your description that the original owner used a replacment Y7 head/block and used the HX intake/exhaust manifolds and used the Y7 ECU...

Just a guess..

Whether its OBD version, a revision, or drive specific, All IAC's for 96-2000 aren't the same on the Y7 from dealing with some idle issues on my 97.....

I tried one from an auto, and it was sending the rpm to fuel cut..

I noticed, some are spring loaded... Some are not...

No visual difference other than that sticker..

Hmmm...You may be right. I just compared IACV part numbers for the 97 Civic DX manual versus auto and they are different. Good to know.
