97 Civic EX starts and dies
First off, I love this place. Communities like these are half the reason I got a Honda in the first place.
I have a 97 Civic EX. >180k miles. This morning the car started fine, I got about a quarter mile from home, stopped at a stop sign, and the engine just died. No weird sounds. Just quit. I cranked it for several seconds and it caught again, moved about 10 yards, and died again. Pumped the gas, cranked it several seconds, caught again so I could move it off the road and left it and took the bus to work. After work the engine won't catch at all. I ran the starter for ~30s until I was worried I was going to kill the battery. The distributor is still sparking so I doubt it's the ICM. Probably not the fuel pump because I hear the fuel pump running for about 2s when I turn the power on, then it stops but the CEL stays on. There's no (new) trouble codes stored (I have long-stand knock sensor and O2 sensor heater codes). I drove it yesterday for <10 miles, might have felt it sputter mid-driving but I can't be sure. Nothing really obvious. I'm thinking of starting with the fuel filter? Hopefully it's clogged. Hasn't been changed in ~90k miles. Any ideas?

Update: not the fuel filter. Changed the fuel filter and same thing. I can hear the main relay switching on and off, I'm pretty sure I can still hear the fuel pump. When I disconnected the old fuel filter, I was expecting a spray of gasoline, but any barely dribbled out. The CEL still comes on and stay on. Car still won't start. Running out of parts in the fuel line to troubleshoot...

I can let it sit at my house for 30 mins then it'll turn off, i've checked the Main relay, the fuel pump, the distributor and changed my cat(my cat was bad)
I came up to the conclusion that its the distributor, when it gets hot, the igniter stops working..
