97 Civic Ex Build
Hey HT members
So I got this car a little over a year ago, not in running condition in any way. It was my cousins old car, this idiot crashed it an just parked it out back and got an 06 Type S, what a lucky **** right?
So anyways. I got the car after mowing my aunts lawn and I asked hey what's up with the civic? She said it just guna sit ther, you got plans for it? In my mind I was like fk Yeah! But eh just let it go for a while but then my Cavalier was messing up and I was like hey I should fix the civic up. Had a rebuilt Y8 in it. Just the outside was junk. So was the interior, I mean it was there since 2005 so Black Widows am who else knows what was in there.
So I convince my uncle to towing it over to my back yard, so after about a month he did it. Then little by little I start ordering parts, mainly body parts and all the stuff fr a tune up.
Took me about 2 months to gather all the parts. Keep in mind I work at Taco Bell, I don't make much.
Bought front and rear bumbers, new fender, new rotas, then every possible fluid I exchanged and new plugs and wires, air filter and all the good stuff. Go to fire it up and Vola, she started like a BAWSS. It's a SOHC, but hey when one car fks up gotta come up on another.
Here's what it looke like when we got it up on the trailer

This is now what it looks like from the outside. I had payed some fkn Guy to do the body work and paint for me. Yeah he did me dirty, I payed 600 upfront and he only took out like 2 dents, then he moved changed his number and yeah I was riding around with bondo for about like 3 months. Till I decided to go buy a 25 gal air compressor (sale 170), homie hooked it up with sandpaper from his wood shop class, single stage Champ White (140) and a paint gun (120) and a ridiculous amount of bondo I did all the body work myself, and painted it. Took me about 3 months to do it all but it came out nice.

Good on him for the rebuild though. Keep it up, do it right, dont cut corners because you cannot afford it. Save up, do it right.

Sigh, yeah iknownmy seats are not real., can you guys not bash te thread tho.
They were actually not bought off eBay, we have a local cheapy jdm shop here in town, I would not buy real recaros because they will get jaked out here.
The suspension I redid, I just haven't got to it, I can't spend all my time on HT.
I have it on Koni yellows with ground control sleeves. An I bought new control arms front and rear. And those I bought at the dealer ship.
It handles quite well I can take a corner going bought 55- 60 no problem.
I was actually stoked on how it drove guys. I thought the **** would just fall apart on me in the street.
And for the carpet I bought it off CustomInteriors
**** fit like a champ, it's pre-molded and you just have to cut the holes out. Like put the old carpet over it and razer blade it out.
And yeah my aunt bought me a viper alarm, has a kill switche but I always park it in the garage or just take my ecu out when I go to the mall.

And I'm not trying too fool people okay. I'm 19 and so what if I can't afford real interior parts. Not like I'm freaking rich,
When I get back home I will load up more pics off my laptop, I'm posting all this off my iPhone, so sorry if I don't catch mispelled words.
And I'm not immature, I happen to have a girlfriend, and she doesn't think I'm immature. He'll what 19 year old doesnt have some immaturity in them.???? For who ever said that.
I'm new to this posting stuff up on HT, cut me some slack yo
