96 itr tranny into b16a2? what are some possible pros i could be looking for?
so im thinking about an itr tranny into a b16a2. it is possible right?
im also curious..96 itr tranny came with lsd right? ..and the itr tranny that i might be looking to get has 4.785 final drive in it.
what could be the pros and cons about doing this tranny swap? i currently have a b16a2 tranny on mines.

Yes, it'll bolt right up. It's obviously hydraulic, so no worries there.
Well, you already mentioned the pros. Higher final drive and LSD.
Only con I can think of is, it might not have an LSD in it. I don't think all ITR's came with a factory LSD. I might be wrong, though. Just look inside the differential when you see it and make sure it doesn't have the pin holding the spider gears in place. It will look hollow.

With the 96 Spec tranny, you only gain an LSD. Which is actually alot.
If you're looking for the 4.785FD, you need to find a 98+ Spec ITR tranny.

Look under transmissions in case you want to know the exact gearing.
