Default 96 ex engine and tranny in a 93 ex>

hey i have a 93 ex and i want to do an engine swap but dont have the money for a strong motor so i decided to just swap in a newer ex motor and tranny with less millage, i was wondering if this will just bolt right in or if it is tough to do this swap. i know it is kind of pointless to go from 125 hp to 127 but my motor and tranny have 160k miles on them and they are in bad shape. any replies welcome, thanks

Personally I wouldnt bother going through the trouble of swapping the newer ex motor in your 93 ex. Whats wrong with your d16z6? Why don't you do a little work to it? Mileage isnt really a reflection of what condition your motor is in, if it runs good and tests well with compression and all, it is good for many more years of thrashing. I would do a little work with the motor you have.
