96 ex coupe wont pass smog in first gear but does fine in 2nd. Need help!!
so i went to go get my car 1996 honda civic ex coupe 5 spd manual transmission smogged and it failed the first time due to bad timing and something with the first gear. So the guys at the smog place adjusted my timing and so i drove about 100 miles so that everything can go through the ecu. i come back the next day to do my smog test again and pass everything including brake and light and the only problem is the first gear. i have the photos of my smog tests the first time and the 2nd time i did them.
-1st link is my first time test for smog and the 2nd link is my 2nd time testing for smog.

yeah thats what the guy said at the smog place but the weird thing is that my check engine light isnt on to notify me that i have a bad cat.

The cat may be almost dead but not completely dead. I say this because both HC and NO are high in first gear. In second gear, the HC is still borderline too high.
