96 ek HUGE electrical issue, please help!!!!!
ok so here's the low down... I just swapped another gsr into my car and did a fuse box tuck on my 96 ek. Plugged everything back in just the way it was before on the previous GSR. the motor fires right up and runs perfect but when i turn the motor off ALL of the indicator lights turn on but only halfway lit, like it was only getting 1/2 the power and the main relay keeps clicking at a fast pace untill i disconnect the relay or battery.
I thought it was my alarm but i disconnected the brain and it still does it. I thought it was the alarm because for some reason my siren doesnt work when i arm or dis-arm the alarm but i checked the siren and its definatly not a busted siren. I have the grounds all hooked up as far as i'm aware of. one from the tranny to frame rail then the one from the VC to the frame, and obviously the one from the battery to the frame.
I also tested out a new main relay and it still did it.
I am serriously at my witts end with trying to figure this issue out so please, if you have any insight as to what this could be let me know!

yea, i'm pretty sure everything is connected. What would cause this?? Not a sensor, it would have to be something major. And then if it were something major then how is the car running PERFECT untill I turn it off?

i had that happen to me once on my hatch with a gsr swap. Pissed me off for 2 weeks. Ended up being the thermostat ground. IT wasn't tightly toqued down. It was loose and didn't make solid contact, tightened that bitch up and it was all good

My car had very similar symptoms. It would go crazy after i would pull the key out. The cluster would remain lit, the car would try to turn over and I would get erratic clicking from the main relay. Turned out to be bad battery terminals and the battery eventually went also.
