96 DX hatch rear rattling help...
Well, I have this rattling coming from the back of my hatch. I tried to get a friend to drive my car and I laid in the back of the hatch and tried to find out where it was coming from but all I know is that its definatly coming from somewhere in or around the hatch and it sounds like a window rattle or something. I can only hear it when I'm going fast enough. I tried to hold random stuff like the speaker panels and the rear window and some other interior pieces that were visible while my friend drove but I still heard it.
Since I'm on rattling, I also have this other rattling that started when I put my Spoon N1 exhaust in the other day. Its coming from the exhaust side of the rear hatch and actually sound more like a vibration sound. I checked around the exterior exhaust and its definatly not coming from anything outside the car, so I'm guessing its coming from something inside the car around the muffler area.
Basicly, anybody have any rattling problems with just the stock interior stuff and fixed it and know what they did?
I have read some stuff and the only thing I found is that some people tapped the latch on the hatch and that stopped some peoples problems. I havn't tried that, but I don't think I have rattling around that area.

I have a bunch of junk that rattles in my 97 hatch. It's probobally the suspension and there isn't anything you can really do about it. Sorry, it's one of the perks of an econobox.

maybe your heat shield is loose? maybe the bolts on the struts are loose and are beginning to rattle? or maybe the bolts are loose and the strut is beginning to rattle? also, check your spare tire. maybe it's loose or its not bolted down right.
