Default 96 Civic DX wheel bearing replacement question

Hi, I'm new to this board but I have a question. I have a 96 4 cyl. Civic DX 4 door with 112K on it. For a while I've known the wheel bearings where getting near their end. There's been a grating sound that has been getting progressively worse and I'm sure it's the bearings. Anyways, I've changed wheel bearings many times before but they were on Jeeps and other older RWD American cars. I'm guessing the hubs are probably worn as well and I'd be better off changing those when i get in there as well. I've shopped around and the cheapest I can find the bearings for is $47 each. The hubs have been extremely difficult to find though. All the places online only have the rear hubs and not the front. The only place I could find that has them is the dealership and they want $110 each. Does anyone know anywhere else to get the hubs? Also, do you know of any online walk thrus on changing the bearings? I'm assuming the bearing is press fit into the hub? Do I remove the steering knuckle as well? If anyone has a diagram of how the hub fits into the knuckle, i'd greatly appreciate it. I've taken off the tire and tried to look at it, but I can't really see how the hub connects to the CV axle and how the hub connects.

Thanks in advance!

While the Search button up top is your friend... i'll answer a few of your questions:

This is a DIY for the ITR but you'll find it useful:

You can check Ebay for hubs or the classifieds here on H-T. You're better off getting OEM replacements though straight from Honda in my opinion

Good luck

Thanks a lot for the response and the link. That helps a lot. It seems pretty simple. Remove the knuckle and the hub is pressed into the inner race of the bearing which is then pressed into the knuckle as well. I don't think my bearings are in terrible shape. I think it's simply wear and they're noisy right now. I've jacked the front wheel up and wiggled it and there's only a tiny amount of play. If it's just a matter of changing the bearings and not the hubs then I'm happy and can do it in a couple hours.
Thanks for your help! I just wish I knew somewhere else to get the hubs.
