Default 96 Civic Battery Cable on a 94

Is this possible in a pinch until I get a new one ordered in? I've searched and have found no answers.

Default Re: 96 Civic Battery Cable on a 94

I checked the parts diagrams and the nut that connects the cable to the starter are the same size on both years, and the bolt the connects the cable to the fuse box are the same size. I see universal cables for sale and splice kits so my thought is this should work just fine. Am I wrong for thinking this and do I risk and damage to the electric systems? Seems like it's just delivering power via a cable and as long as it's performing it's job we're golden right?
