96-98 to 99-00 Conversion
Oke i know to have a full Conversion on 96-98 Civcs you have to have bumper, fenders, grill, lights, hood and radiator support from 99-00 Civic. Oke if i buy the radiator support 1999 will it be perfect bolt on in to the 96, and everything else will align like grill and the lights how they are suppose to? And i dont follow this guide https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1773520 cause the guy cuts the part of the radiator support I just want it to be just bolt it on and thats it.

Well, you will need to cut out (drill out the welds) of the OEM one to get the new core support in.
It should bolt and weld right up to your 96-99 from the 99-00 if I remember correctly.

The radiator support will have to be welded in. Everything should line up ok, but it won't look like it would fromt he factory.
Between the tolerance stack ups of the cutting and welding you might end up with some decent sized gaps

took me two minutes with a dremel and we made my friends 99 bumper fit perfect on his 96 civic. the two tabs on either side of the bumper support just have to be cut off about two inches in.

Shhhh...
It's very common for people to swap these front ends, it's not a big deal. It's not like your putting ek taillights on an eg, or is300 headlights on anything honda. Don't let anyone disregard you for wanting that front end. IMO it is much more appealing as it adds eye candy to what was previously a boring bumper. Go for it, I would keep the stock radiator support and modify it. Shouldn't take 2 minutes with a dremel. Have fun.

its an extremely common swap. its not ricey at all IMO because its a stock bumper from the same chassis. but i personally like the 96-98 bumper better because its less common (everyone and there mother swaps a 99-00 bumper on) and IMO the square fogs look much better than a 99-00 bumper with fogs.

so to put the 99 core in to u have to weld so it aligns pretty good. You cant just put it in witout doin any mods from ur own experience guys.

It has been explained to you that you do not need to switch core supports. It's alot more work to swap the supports than it is to modify the tabs.
