96-98 HX's, was the TRUNK plastic insert, around license plate, painted?

96-98 HX's, was the TRUNK plastic insert, around license plate, painted?
Need to know due to trunk swapping issues to get rid of the wing. Did HX's have the insert painted or was it bare plastic.

Interesting this issue comes up. I've noticed on the 99-00 models they were painted. I dont know if perhaps all the ones i saw were some freak of Honda..can anyone verify this?

The LX model had body colored license housing as well. I think only in the coupe though.
