Default 96-98 Civic Ex Wiring Harness

I just got one for my GSR swap. The fuel injector section has an extra black clip that doesn't fit any of the injectors. Looks like a plug for the EVAP sensor.

The MAP sensor section has this same plug also, looks like a EVAP sensor plug. Did the 96-98 Civic EX's have 2 EVAP sensors?

So i found that the black clip bundled with the injectors is the EVAP sensor plug.

As for the other that's bundled with the MAP sensor I still need to figure that one out. Help.

It's probably the IAT sensor, has the same look at the injectors. I was just looking at DX harness in the garage, same setup really.

Ur right! when I redid my DX harness I remember the IAT sensor plug. I had to snip it and convert it to the round 2 pin connector.

So, black plug next to injectors are the EVAP plug.

Black plug next to the MAP are the IAT plug that still needs to be snipped and converted to round 2 pin.

That leaves me with an extra round 2 pin on the bottom of the intake mani. I think this one is the power steering switch thing.....just researched, and it is for the P/S!

I'm in the same boat right now tagging a new harness from a 97 DX. I've got it all figured but 2 plugs, one being round like the IAT but has an all green and an all black wire running to it. Comes off close to the distributor. Thinking maybe something with the starter?

The IAT plugs to the civic's aren't same as the integra's. they're the EVAP type connectors. The EVAP has a red/yellow wire paired with a black/yellow wire. The IAT is red/yellow with a green/black wire. If you are looking at a round connector all green and all black wires, it's the p/s switch connector.

the one by the injectors is for the EVAP purge solenoid

you can use your civic IAT sensor as well (it is the same value thermistor) and avoid extending wires and swaping plugs
