96-00 or 92-95 which years are better and why? i need to buy a new car and am stuck
ok first off I SEARCHED .. i couldnt find anything ..
i had an auto ej1 and i sold it today .. i miss it already .. but i had to get rid of the auto ..i drove a white 97 ex coupe today .. and i loved my 95 a lot more even if it was an auto
i dont know if i just didnt like the coupe or if i just didnt like the white color .. but it didnt look as nice as my old one
anyway .. NICE CLEAN 96-00's seem a lot easier to come by than the 92-95 in good condition ..
so which should i go for and why .. ek or eg? (i like coupes i dont know the term for the 96-00 but i like ej1's .. ex's)

Re: (pjr710)
EKs being heavier is the main difference, oh and they also have a bit more of an engine bay.
It all boils down to what you like, I've seen awesome versions of EKs and EGs, so they can both be made to look and perform well.
Yeah uh... that's about what you're gonna get from everyone.

And it sounds to me that you kinda like EG's better than EK's and have had a lot of experience with them. I personally like EK's better... idk maybe because ive never owned an EG and in my opinion they lo0k a lot "sexier" as some might say, than EG's.
So like everyonE else said already... cho0se what YOU like best, cause afterall you're the onE thats going to be driving it.
SO Whatever you cho0se.. Go0d Luck with it

I've owned both Egs and Eks, I personally would pick an EG over an EK anyday performance wise. They are lighter, obdI, most integra parts bolt right on. cheaper parts. But looks wise, id say an Ek would take it even though i think EG's look more agressive, but Eks are more stylish to me.

oh yea, and the Eg's came with the Si trim in hatches and thats a big plus for me. I love the sunroof and rear disc brakes and all that good junk. in the EK hatches only came in DX and CX here in the states.

you can make both 96-98 and 99-00 look good. 96-98, you can get Sir bumpers, and the 99-00, just a lip works. I personally like the 96-98, Everyone gets the 99-00 front end.

Re: (pjr710)
Remember, here's a new difference. Different color car = different color interior.
That white EJ8 (EK EX coupe/sedan) will have the light gray interior. *** opposed to the darker gray. The tag should say type K. Type F you don't want.
It is a difference you will learn to hate, if you get the light. Also, EG has type D avaiable, which is black interior. EK doesn't in the states, not even the Si.
Other than a blue Si, I'm indifferent to the EG coupe, or EK coupe.

96-98 FTW!!
but seriously.. why dont you get a car that you like and not what people tell you... i have driven both ek's and eg's... the eg's feel a little more agile.. but thats my opinion...
goodluck with your choice

Re: (EeeJayEight)
ok .. hers teh thing .. the 99's look alot nicer than the 97's .. what is the total difference of the exterior from 96-98 - 99-00? the 99-00 looks more aggresive for some reason .. like a lower hood or something

search..this has been covered countless times...
it will save you a lot of time if you search since people wont start flaming you and giving BS responses...
off the top of my head..
interior:
climate control
cupholders?
material color, patterns
exterior:
front and rear bumper (coupes have different rears 96-98 vs 99-00, but i think hatches are the same)
hubcaps
lights, hoods,
