Default 95 hatch. Crank, No Start

1995 hatch
B20b
Edelbrock IM & TB
AEM Fuel Filter w/ Gauge
STOCK: Fuel Pump, Injectors, FPR, p75 ecu.
Also new fuel filter, drained tank with fresh 93 octane.

Car ran fine for 2 years. Wouldn't start on my way home from work one day, Cruise Control light was on, Many threads said this was due to a dead chipped ecu. Swapped in stock injectors and ecu, Cruise light went away. Still no start. Compression test revealed a dead cylinder. Swapped another B20, Same issue.

Car will crank, has spark, 40+ psi @ fuel gauge, good compression (140-150 across the board), Noid test on injectors, they all flash. It will start up for about half a second sometimes and just die out.

Just looking for some insight before I part this thing out.
Sensors I'm over looking? Car was modded by PO.

CEL light works, I'm getting no codes.

I've tried 2 p75 ecu's, a p28, 2 sets of stock injectors and a chipped p28 for 310's with brand new 310 injectors.

Will the engine start with starting fluid?

Is spark bright white?

Yes, it starts with a spray of starting fluid in the TB.

Sparked seemed decent, it was outside when I checked it, so I can't be sure it was BRIGHT white as i couldn't get the best view from inside the car.

Sounds like the fuel injectors are not receiving ground pulses from the ECU.

Do the injectors pulse fuel?

What would be the best way to test this? Pull each spark plug to see if damp?

You can remove the fuel rail and have a friend briefly crank the engine while you hold the injectors in place. Look for fuel spray from each injector. This is a "no smoking allowed" test.

Finally got back over to the garage.
Ziptied the injectors and pulled em. All 4 injectors spray with their corresponding plugs hooked up.

This^ clearly indicates a fuel problem.

Check whether the injector clips are installed in the correct firing order.

Yes, but what?
I can't figure it out.

Check whether the injector clips are installed in the correct firing order.
Checked them 3 times.

Also, not sure if related, sometimes when I go to crank it over, I hear a loud click and have no power. have to pull the battery cables off and reattach them.

Again, if correct, this^ clearly indicates a fuel problem.

I've tried 2 sets of factory injectors. I don't believe those to be the issue.
Other than the ecu, is their anything else that controls the injectors?

It doesn't make sense that your car starts with start fluid, but not with your fuel injectors. Does that make sense to you?
