95 Civic overheating. Please HELP
I have a 95 civic ex (all stock) It has an overheating problem that I cant get rid of. Things I have changed to fix this. Radiator, thermostat, hoses, radiator cap, catalytic converter, coolant temp switch, coolant temp sensor, flushed the system numerous times. Last night I even went as far as changing the head gasket. Cleaned it up good and couldnt find any cracks or problem areas, also checked flatness with a straight edge and feeler gauges. At the worst spot it was .001 out. The tolerances say it can be .002. I put an after market temp gauge on it to make sure it wasnt my gauge and cold start at idle it will warm up to around 200 degrees and stay there but as soon as I go drive it climbs to 240ish degrees and a little warmer. Once I stop and let it sit there and idle it never goes back down until I shut it off for a while. The fan is working and the thermostat is opening. While the head was off I checked all the water jackets and couldnt find any signs off blockage. Also no water in the oil or oil in the water....

While you had the head off did you check the waterpump?
The vanes on the pump could be rusted away so the pump is not moving the water like it should.
