i recently was pulling the motor out to put into another car but decided not too, big mistake i guess. its just a d16y8 but it ran perfect before we pulled and now that its back in its jumping or surging and wont accelerate passed 3500rpm...now supposidly its tuned on chrome or whtever and it has launch control at 3500rpm but its almost as if its in limp mode cuz something is not hooked up right again or the botched wires job on the vtec got reversed or sumthing. everything on it was switched back to obd1 so sensors have been deleted! any opinions on what could be the problem?!?!?!? thanks reply soon

Botched wiring on the VTEC solenoid shouldn't cause surging. Are you sure all the plugs are connected right? What changed since you pulled in and reinstalled it? I mean installation is the reverse of removal right? Now you're saying it's tuned on Crome. Was it not before? Maybe you should look there.

I'm sorry but I'm having trouble reading and understanding your big run on sentence in the middle of all that.

tuned no chrome previously, and yes i put it back in like a day later, and everything was plugged in the same except for the vtec and thermostat wire. we looked it up and made sure the vtec was ran right and switched the plug on the thermostat with one of another car. can coolant in the plug cause this becuz i saw coolant in the trans sensor plug in back of the motor. i didnt oversee the reconnection of the wires and think my pro buddy just put the connector on with the coolant still in the plug.... im gonna pull the plugs n connectors when i get a chance to again (when im off work).
