95 civic ex 1.6 liter having issues.
This has been going on for 1 week now. First started on highway going 80 miles a hour and car would die, Pull car to curb try to start again and no dash lights the stereo and air was working. So waited about 5 min turned it over and all the lights came back on dash started up drove about 5 more min and it did it agian. So we thought maybe the fuel filter and drove it about 45 min no issues parked it in sun for 4 hours went to drive home and died about 30 min we waited and waited no starting so pushed it home witha few buddies now its parked and wont start. I kicked the alarm ( g4 clifford prior install to me owning car) and the dash lights came on i started car it died 20 seconds later.
Any ideas besides towing it to mechanic.

Re: 95 civic ex 1.6 liter having issues.
sounds like a wiring issue somewhere.
i would start by checking all the fuses and all the wires that deal with the car running.
(ie alternator, battery, starter, ignition, etc)

Did all that and still have voltage for fuses alternator battery and starter. The car is turning over each time just not starting.

have you checked the compression yet?
could be something to do with spark, timing, coolant.
check everything you know how and post what you come up with.

I HAD a Clifford G4 alarm in my 99SiR that had the same sympoms you describe. I usually happened when it was REALLY HOT outside. I promply pulled it out and ran over it.
When it started actin up I made a jumper harness so that I could unplug the G4 and insert my jumper to confirm it was the alarm. It turned out the ignition cut relay was not the greatest design.
