95 Civic Clutch Problems?
Just yesterday, I got in my 95 Civic DX Ferio and noticed that my clutch was practically to the floor before it engaged. Previously, the clutch was fairly tight but made a slight noise when I pressed in the pedal (sounded like a spring being compressed.) Also, it seemed to have occassional difficulty when going into 2nd at higher rpms. But now, there's a lot of play in the pedal and it doesn't engage until about 2 inches from the floor. A while back, I replaced the stock clutch with a Clutchmaster Stage 2 setup. I'm thinking perhaps now it's the throwout bearing but I'd like to know if anyone else has any ideas? Also, if it does turn out to be the throwout bearing, can I use a stock bearing on an aftermarket clutch? If not, any suggestions where I can find one that will fit? Thx.

Re: 95 Civic Clutch Problems? (hatchi)
I actually haven't noticed any fluids leaking at all. I'm pretty convinced it's the throwout bearing. I went to pull out the transaxle today but the spindle nut it practically welded on. I've got the throwout bearing but if I cant get the spindle nut off I guess I'll have to break down and pay to have it done. Prior to the complete loss of clutch, the only things I noticed were that the clutch made a sort of creaking sound when I pushed down on the pedal and sometimes it seemed to slip going from 1-2. But only going into 2nd. Then, for no obvious reason, the clutch pedal went from about 6" of tension to about 2". Then, in less than 48 hours, it was completely gone. I'm banking that replacing the throwout bearing will get me back to good but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
