Hey guys! =D How are you all? Iīve recently acquired a 93 Honda Civic EG6 VTi here in Argentina (Itīs a European VTi, these were imported here), hereīs some pics for those who wanna see it

Anyway, thing is whenever I start her when sheīs cold, I get this funny whirring noise Iīm almost CERTAIN is the power steering... I flushed the system with new Honda P/S Fluid and while the steering is lighter, I find that the noise barely lowered... Iīll try to start it her up without the P/S Belt later, and see if it doesnīt whirr, but Iīm almost 100% certain itīs the P/S... So the actual question is divided in two parts. First, could it NOT BE the P/S? What other thing might whirr on start up and shut up 30 seconds after ignition? Whatīs more, when in regular temps, even on a cold startup the noise is less (or so it seems). And two: will a 1994 Integra GSR P/S Pump be a bolt on replacement to my B16A2 P/S Pump? Iīve read some pages where they say you can, but iīve never had anyone actually CONFIRM this... and I saw a really nice used one for sale at a real steal, but I wanna be sure before I spend the cash...

You can use any '94 - '97 Integra P/S pump or one from any '92 - '95 Civic/Del Sol.

Alright then! Iīm assuming Iīll have to purchase a 94 GSR P/S Belt with it as well, right? But I thought you couldnīt use pumps from 92-95 civic/del sol... I mean, almost all of them have D-Series in them, and I thought you couldnīt use D Series pumps on B-Series engines =S

The D-series pump is the same. This is not the case with '96 - '00 Civics though. On those you need a '98 - '01 Integra pump, or a pump from a '96 - '00 civic that came with a factory B16A.

But I just turned her on with no P/S, and itīs not the P/S Pump that's making the whirring noise =( Bummer on one hand, īcause Iīm thinking maybe itīs the oil pump (Which I have never heard one Whirr before =S), but on the other hand my P/S is good! =D HAHAHA! XD

Any thoughts about what other thing it could be? Iīm almost 100% sure that itīs from the front end of the engine, I mean, the distribution end... If itīs not the oil pump, have you ever heard a water pump whirr? XD Hahaha, itīs so bizarre =S
