How do you know you have spark? What color is it? If it's not blue, your coil is probably on its way out. Are you sure your timing belt didn't snap?

Engine cranks and cranks

I pulled the dist cap and got the crap shocked out of me on the rotor button when my wife was cranking it.

However, I pulled a plug and did not see any spark

I did smell gas on the plug.

I'm confused

pull your oil cap and have someone crank it and look through the valvecover to see if the camshaft is turning, if not = broken timing belt.

Or he could take the timing belt cover off.

Then your belt should be fine.

I don't have a book. any place on the net where I can see a pic of where my main relays and such are?

I should be able to check it if I know where it is.

I replaced ing mod and rotor button and cap then I had spark.

however, it turned over a good 30 sec before it caught and started.

I guess it's ok.

at least it's running
