94 ex power surge question?
Quick question...buddy of mine has a stock 94 civic ex coupe....weirdest thing is happening....he will tap the brakes, and he gets a power surge(power loss)....then he takes foot off brakes, and the power, idle, lights everything goes back to normal...we thought it might be battery...so replaced...still does it...check battery terminal wires....seem fine...cleaned them, still has power surge....then we thought it might be alternator...but we both believe this is not the case....since car starts up fine...and when he takes footing off brakes, power goes back to normal....any help would be appreciated.....just wondering if anybody has seen anything like this...thanks for the help

I have this _exact_ same problem on my EG civic. I'm beginning to think the system just needs to be grounded. You can use 4g audio cables or something of that nature, along with terminals that are made from a good conductor (e.g., gold)
alternatively you can ebay a set of fake mugen power ground cables. they're like $39 after the enormous shipping but they have like 6, 4g ground wires and a negative battery terminal hookup, all centralized on a nice looking (albeit FAKE) mugen power plate.
