Detach the alternator and try again, it could be grounding?

you've got a short to ground somewhere most likely. Check your starter wire and alternator wire.

how exactly do you ground out the starter lol and why would that blow a fuse, when he just hooks up the battery? Do you have any idea what you are saying?

get a circuit breaker that's the same amprege rating, put it where that fuse goes. Start pulling fuses one by one and see if it trips the breaker. If the doesn't work start unplugging stuff one by one. You have to go back and check whatever you touched.

How do you cross a starter? BTW starter wire just goes straight from battery to the starter so it won't blow a fuse, because it doesn't run thru fuse box.

it's not because you don't have a good ground. Did you fail physics in high school? You blow the fuse because you have something going straight to ground. It means that positive is touching the ground somehow (it's called a short). How hard is that to explain. It could be something defective, or something that's touching, or something that's not hooked up where it's not supposed to be. It's a short to ground, not that you are missing the ground.
