Default 94 Del Sol S, What rim can I put on it?

Can you guys tell me what the rim specs are that will fit on my 94 Del Sol S? I want to get a set of aftermarket Rims, but beyond the 4x100 bolt pattern, I am lost as to what will fit on the car. What would be the max diameter, what about offset...as you can see, I am a bit confused. What I want is a nice set of rims, that won't rub on the fram or anything like that when I am turning. I am thinking 15 or 16 inch, but would 17 fit? I appreciate all your help.

Thanks guys,
Marc

If you are running 4x100 you can only put rims on your car with a 4x100 pattern. Offset im not sure at all, but for rim size and rubbing issues it will all depend on how low your car is/is going to be. If you are going to lower it about 1.7-2" I would stick with a 15" rim... 16" at most. IMO. 17's will fit, but you might find at your desired ride height that your rims will rub while driving(hitting bumps) and while turning. I have some GSR's sitting in my garage and i think they are 15x6.

civic have SLIGHTLY different amounts of clearance than civics. I'm run every size from 13 to 17 with various ride heights. I've seen 18's fit, but it was with HARD springs and he still had some rubbing issues. My 17's rubbed the inner frame rail in the front at full lock. and I had to roll the rear fender lips so they didn't rub. Looking back, they were just too big for the car. Looked great, but the performance was a joke.
15's and 16's are your best bet on a sol. Offset can normally be anywhere 38 to 42 without any issues. So, just about any off the shelf wheel that is 4x100, 15x6.5 with a 42 offset will go right on without any headaches.

95ProjectEJ1,

Cool thanks for the info.

I was thinking that t17 might be too big. I would like to lower it a bit, but not too much, the things is pretty low to start with.

Are you looking to sell the rims you have? Do you have any images of them?
