Default 94 Civic - wiper misses a 2" stripe of water every time

The drivers side wiper blade tends to miss on the downswing at higher speeds. At least 40 mph or greater. The blades are new and I just recently replaced the wiper transmission that was broken. Has anyone else had similar problems with their civic?

What do you mean by "miss"?

it doesn't swipe all the water away, it works great at lower speeds but at higher ones it misses a 2" stripe of water every time

Try to bend the arm inwards your self before getting new ones.

Well, if you got some newer "contoured" and curved bracketless wiper blades....
They're a little too curved for our older, flatter windshields and tend to miss bits of it, especially in the middle of where the blade wipes

Try what sammy said first or get some older style blades before buying new springs and such
Best of luck!

I'm using the Rain-X Latitude blades that are supposed to provide even pressure across the whole blade. Also, it's only the drivers side that misses, the passenger side wipes perfectly.

Did you get the right size? I think you're supposed to get 21" and 20 or 19" blades.
