Default 94-95 civic dash into 92-93?

I know the gloveboxes are different but will the glovebox still be useful or is there a way to make it useful when swapping these two dashes? I've seen how that hydraulic looking piece is on the 94-95 dash that holds the glovebox in but is there a way to swap dashes and still have a glovebox thats not broken?

i hear if you have a 94-95 dash, you need the 94-95 glovebox to clear the pass. airbag area. i'm sure you could use a 92-93 box with a bit of trimming. with a 92-93 dash, you can use any 92-95 box

they are for the most part, but the glovebox is different from those years because of the pass. airbag i assume.

pretty much the same. just the passenger airbag. glove and some other little stuff. 92-93, 94-95. 94-95 also have the rear speakers i believe. maybe only si's.

Funny...i just did my swap with a friend yesterday. They are different. he had a 93/black and I a 94/gray. almost everything matched up but both boxes didnt fit due to the airbag. we're both gonna need 94+ boxes. its a long story but yea that the case. personally i dont wanna do any modifications that are too weird to make it fit so the best bet is to find a 94+ box.

You should have no problem putting a 94-95 dash and box into a 92-93 car...

if you are putting the 92-93 dash and box into a 94-95 car you have to remove this big L shaped metal bracket and the the box goes right in, otherwise it will hit that, that bar won't be needed anymore since you'll be removing the airbag, I had to do that a while back when I swaped my black dash in

92-95 are all interchangeable dash wise, and center consoles.. yes glove box from 92-93 wont clear 94-95 cause of airbag but you can still use it if you dont mind it rubbing a little, you dont hear it but you feel it.

^I know they are...I have a 92 si dash in my 94 DX, but I also had to remove a metal bracket to get the 92 box to close, it wasn't even close to closing without taking that out....
