the easiest thing to do is take off ur oil pan and check the block internals.

rods and crank can be seen easily after removing the widget tray

I did that once.
Pulled the plugs, turned over the engine till it was clear. Changed oil and fired right up.

How long has water been in it?
I took care of mine right away.

I have seen people pull plugs and try to crank it, and it worked. However I have seen 2 motors get ****ed by people trying to start them.

So go about it at your own risk.

Yes you need to take the plugs out asap and crank it over and dont forget to pull the fuel pump relay out so you dont keep crankin gas into the motor...then change your oil and you should be alright...

Must have been some deep water you ran through. The filter needs to be submerged in water for it suck up into the engine.

Take the oil pan off and valve cover and go from there

Yea if you don't see any visible damage externally you might have a shot.. Like mentioned I would pull the plugs and ecu fuse and crank it over and try to get the water out, replace the plugs, change the oil and cross your fingers and hope for the best.

****, I did that once. Was pissed as hell when it happened, but it was the inspiration I needed to do something awesome (at the time)

Saved up a little bit, had a JDM ITR swap sent to me, and I believe that I am the first person in my state to have swapped an ITR into an EG. Did this like 12yrs ago or possibly longer, 98spec itr wasnt even available yet and I had NO internet to help me out. Just remember some **** from when I moved from Cali and started digging in.

Started a bug in me that is still very strong inside. Do like these guys suggested and fix what you have if it is a possibility.

If I had to guess, I'd say snapped rod. That is exactly what mine did when I hydro-locked it. That's why I ended up swapping it.

Pull the oil pan off and check it out from the bottom side. It is the easiest way to access the lower end and see what "actually" happened. Plus if you pull the pan off yourself which is ease as hell to do, you dont have to pay anyone at their high *** shop rates to tell you whats wrong with it.
