Default 93 honda civic hatch is bogging!

Ok I am new member here i tried to search and cant seem to find what i am looking for. I have 93 honda civic with 1.5 non vtec no mods just bought it and cant figure what is going on.

The car can be driven but seems to be every couple of days you will be driving and all of a sudden the car will start kinda like bogg out and start to hesate when you step on gas pedal it will bogg out more and feel like it is going to kill and then all of a sudden it will like free up and run fine. It seems that if you dont step on the gas and start to downshift and bring it down to like third gear it will free up and you can drive it fine. This will happen at no certain speed some time it happens at highway speeds and some time it does it driving at 30 mph. Some times the check engine light will come on and some times it wont and some time the check engnie will come while driving with no hestation or stumbling. If you shut the car off the light will not come back on when car is started.

I have replaced the fuel filter, pulled the fuel pump and had that tested was fine there was small pin hole in the pick up line, replaced the spark plugs with new ngks, new wires, new cap and rotor, new air filter, new timing belt and water pump set ingnition timing and timing at same time. Compression test tested out good. The head gasket is not leaking was tested and no leaks. Just pulled the new spark plugs out they have been in for 500 miles three of them looked perfect the fourth one that is closes to the timing belt had like carbon deposits on it.

I tried to figure this out and is driving me nuts becasue cant pin point it. Is there suggestions or what should i check next or has any one else had this happen.

I would suggest looking at your pcv valve and the rubber hosing that goes to the intake and especially the hose that goes from underneath the pcv valve to the black breather box.
I had bogging similar to what you were saying and had tried everything and was about to change out the IM when under the car to unbolt the IM I noticed that the hose going to the breather box was cut. I replaced it and it fixed the problem. Maybe a vacuum leak.
Also I would try a known good working ecu Just my .02 cents Good luck

In the future, please create more descriptive thread titles that tell members what the problem is -- edited.

Start by pulling the CEL codes. When the CEL turns on, pull over and leave the engine running while you jump the service connector. See the CEL sticky at the top.

Make sure the bolts on the intake manifold are torqued to spec and also make sure there arent any leaks or ribbed hoses.

Also, double check timing

Deal with code 7 first. Check the TPS voltage outputs. If it's bad, you can replace it alone.
